Using rare audio and video clips, as well as anecdotes about the creation of the songs, Deconstructing Sgt. Pepper explores the groundbreaking production techniques that went into producing this landmark piece of music history.

Join lecturer Scott Freiman as he combines his knowledge of The Beatles with a career as a composer producer and educator. His original music has been featured in award-winning films and performed at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall. Directly following the film, TCAN will play the new 50th anniversary deluxe version of Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, remixed in delightful 5.1 high-resolution surround sound by Giles Martin, son of the album's producer the late George Martin. The remix, from the original 4-track master tapes, reveals a new clarity in the arrangements featuring a warm and present mix of Ringo's drums, vivid articulation of Paul McCartney's bass parts and a gorgeous presentation of the vocals throughout.

The special screenings are generously sponsored by Listen Up Record Store of Natick, MA, located at One South Avenue in Natick.
