| An Embarrassing Position, a comic opera with a Big Easy sound by local composer Daniel Shore, premieres professionally at TCAN. When a gossip columnist catches a young Louisiana politician alone with the lovely and naïve daughter of family friends, scandal threatens. Opera del West will also serve J.S. Bach’s Coffee Cantata, celebrating the love affair between a girl and her coffee. Truly a night to celebrate the delicacies of love! Music direction by Eve Budnick; Stage direction by Ben Evett.
